About Calligraphy Health
- Master Zhen Hua Yang
Calligraphy Health came to fruition when internal energy expert Master Zhen Hua Yang realised his work in this lifetime was to help others to live a healthy, happy, long life. Calligraphy Health has come to be known for its power to heal from the inside out. Energy/Qi is collected, stored and generated in this practice for healing and highest functioning. It is mobilised throughout the body through the use of Breath, Movement and Intention. To the onlooker it looks like an incredibly beautiful art form. For the practitioner however the full potential of the practice is taking place internally because this is where true healing takes place.
Breath, Mind and Movement are bought together to work in unison to change the cellular structure of the body. As the world's foremost recognised cellular biologist Dr Bruce Lipton and other leading-edge scientists conclude, our beliefs and our thoughts have the very real potential to control the fate of our body's cells. It is no longer a secret that our thoughts have the capacity to "change the blood's neurochemical composition, which then initiates a complementary change in the body's cells" - Lipton p139.
Here at Calligraphy Health we call this Cellular Evolution cultivating a connection with yourself at a cellular level through the core values of respect, commitment, compassion and trust.
The founding principles of Calligraphy Health are Daoism, Buddhism and Confucism and the internal energy systems of Master Yang's own Family System. In addition, he has studied and mastered other styles, these include Wu Dang, Shaolin, Mian Chuan, Qi Gong, Xing Yi, Bagua and Tai Chi as well as movements from Indian style Yoga asanas. Drawing upon his formidable breadth and depth of knowledge he designed a system that can be practiced by anyone of any age.
In simple terms Daoism looks to nature, expounding one to bring together Heaven, Human and Earth as one, to live in harmony with the rhythms of the universe. This is called "the way" or "Dao" where the inevitable cycle of birth and death teaches us balance and living in harmony with nature. Buddhism is about the enquiry into "Who Am I", that is who the essential you is through the practise of detachment and knowing that nothing is permanent. The third founding philosophy Confucism is based upon the virtues of respect, consideration to others, doing one's best and integrity. As Master Z.H.Yang says:
"Everything has its own life, respect life, respect the movement, nature, people, everything".

Over time and with help from his students (who include Western medically trained doctors and other professionals whose work is based upon the physicality of the human body) he has been able to bring the thousands of years of knowledge behind the internal energy systems of Ancient China, that form the basis of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the physiological knowledge and practices of Western diagnostic medical systems together under one roof - Calligraphy Health.
"Western medicine views the body as a set of cells that perform specific functions and disease as a problem with cellular function. TCM takes a different view of the human body, in which the body emerges as system of energy, called "qi" (pronounced "chee"). Qi runs through and around the body via paths called meridians". (Sifflet, S., One Medical 2014)
The essence of medical systems from the perspective of both Eastern and Western human physiology/energy systems can be traced back to circulation as the basis of true human health. Calligraphy Health has been designed by Master Zhen Hua Yang to increase the health of your blood cells through the efficiency and circulation of your blood flow, this in turn increases the quality of one's cellular function/regeneration or CELLULAR EVOLUTION - the ongoing replacement of old and unhealthy cells with new healthy cells.
What sets the work of Master Zhen Hua Yang apart from other practices is the understanding and emphasis in practice placed upon Cellular Evolution, what lies at the intersection of both medical systems; the use of breath, movement and intention to heal and the role that the "Calligraphy" part of Calligraphy Health plays. In essence breath and movement are the physiology of the body, intention is the new world of epigenetics and Calligraphy is the seamless energetic flow of Qi that services the whole body.
Calligraphy Health is at the cutting edge of the new Art of Healing that synthesis's the best of medical practices from both Eastern and Western perspectives. It is designed to be user-friendly, to fast-track one on the road to health and happiness. It enables a diligent student to quickly progress in proficiency and benefit in ways never before offered by a Qi Gong Master.

One of the questions we are most often asked is "Why Calligraphy with Health". Calligraphy is a form of art that is honoured and highly revered in China. From beginning to end the movement of brush on paper is achieved in one continuous flow. The brush is seen as an extension of self, revealing on paper the very essence, the spirit of the Calligraphy artist.
In understanding that how we think and how we feel, determines the quality of our frequency and vibrations and our interaction with the world, if we are in balance and harmony then this will be made evident in the brush stroke of the artist. How connected one is with the spirit of self is made manifest through the mark on paper expressing a person's internal state of flow.
This is the very reason Master Zhen Hua Yang places such importance on the Art of Calligraphy. Calligraphy is the manifestation of the true essence of self. If ones' Body, Mind, Spirit, otherwise symbolised in Ancient Daoist texts as Heaven, Human, Earth are connected then the 3-dimensional movements of Calligraphy Qi Gong practice are expressed as one continuous seamless flow. In the form of No Mind Movement, Heaven, Human, Earth are joined together, flowing as one.
